The unit clips into the stock battery slot and is secured with a single screw to hold the paddle in place, while the battery adapter is attached with some double back tape and zip ties around the seat post and top tube. The paddle is easily removable so that the stock battery you have can still be used as well!

A note regarding battery drain - Stacyc bikes have a low voltage cutoff built into the bike, but designed around their own OEM batteries. If you regularly overdraw the DeWalt, or Milwaukee batteries, they may quit being recognized by the charger. SO - be careful and change batteries when low, and do not leave on bikes overnight as the phantom draw may brick the battery. Also, if the bike shuts off when the battery drains, don’t power cycle the bike and try to keep riding, that will also over drain.

Adapter only, battery not included. Running an aftermarket battery bypasses the safety features in stock batteries.
